A CHUCKLE FOR TODAY

Men's Restroom Mural--------Read before looking at picture

Edge Designs is an all-women run company
That designs interior office space They had a
Recent opportunity to do an office project in NYC.

The client allowed the women of this
Company a free hand in all design aspects.
The client was a company that was also
Run by all women execs.............

The result.........well.........We all know that
Men never talk, never look at each other....

(I personally wouldn't know this)
And never laugh much in the restroom....
The men's room is a serious and quiet place...
But now...with the addition of one mural
On the wall......lets just say the men's
Restroom is a place of laughter and smiles.

Tough Love vs. Spanking - Good Argument

Lol good evening all. Hope all is well on this fine eve before spring begins. I have few layouts and free alphas coming up, but first wanted your take on this topic,
Most people think
it's improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of those moments.'

One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.

Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, iPod, etc.

Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too.

I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

This works with grandchildren,
nieces, and nephews as well.

Haven't tried it on my husband yet.( I know that this has probably been seen all over the internet but I thought I would share it anyways.)

Well ok now for the layout and freebie. This is my husband Ron the one next to him is Baxter the dog.(that would be the one towards the top of the pic..lol I have trouble too lol). This was made with a kit called Sheep Baby Sheep by Cynthia over at My Digital Things Her kits are really cute so if you haven't checked her blog out you should do so.

The funny thing is that 99.9% of the pictures I have of my husband is of him sleeping. I made 2 sets of alpha from this kit . Alpha 1 was made with a font called Sans and Alpha 2 was made by me with a fat brush tip( lol am not very good with a brush or pencil for that matter). I really like the way alpha 1 turned out and alpha 2 is playful. Remember if you download no comment is necessary but please visit Cynthia's Blog. Here is the preview of the alphas.
The bottles are from Osahoney Her blog site is really cool too. She has lots of freebies.
Well I think I bored you all enough. ALPHA 1 & ALPHA 2

My Lil Sherbert

Good Morning All

It's a glorious morning here in Eastern Colorado. The sun is shining ... the birds are singing and the trees are budding..the only thing missing is the ocean. I love the smell of salt air and the sound of the waves beating against the shore. Next to a child's laughter , the ocean waves are most soothing.
Well here is my Lil Lady. I made this layout using a kit by Barbara called Sherbet. you can find her blog "just passing through" here. Check her blog she has some awesome kits.

I just love this child's face here. Just amazing how one little "tookie" can bring such joy to the child and to the person giving the 'tookie". Have a great day.

Good Evening All
Hope all is well with everyone. I have a little joke for you today. My sista ( how a Joisey girl pronounces) sent this to me and I thought I would share it.

A study conducted by Tulane's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.

Here is a couple of layouts I did of my grandson. I take him to the park alot and we have so much fun

Cute lil alpha freebie

Well hello all,

I have a really cute alpha freebie today. But first up is Arianna eating a cookie. This page was made using a kit called Fire. There was no tou in this kit. I really liked this kit. The colors were bright red & yellow. If you are the owner of this kit please let me know so that I may give you proper credit.

My pet peeve is no tou's in the kits or not even a blog or web address and some of those kits are beautiful. I download a couple of kits a day and then at the end of the week I unzip and look at the kits. Hard to remember where they came from.. So please put your tou's and add your blog or web address to the tous.

be sure to read tou to this kit

You can download this freebie here

Orange You Glad it's Spring

Well howdy folks!!!

Long time no see. I have been busy making kits and working on my 2010 calenders pages. I am also getting ready to upload my 365 days project pages up. I have completed week 9 and am working on week 10. You will find that I live a very boring life, but I liked this project because it is the "mundane"(for lack of a better word) things that are the corner stones of our memories.

Today's freebie is a kit I call Orange You Glad it's Spring It was inspired by my Lil Lady once again. These colors are more like the beginning of spring.. just before everything turns a lushish green. There is an alpha (upper case) and of course the usual "stuff". Enjoy!!

Sunita Layouts

Hello all

Well it is 11:05 here in Colorado. My hubby just left for work and the grand babies are asleep and so is my daughter. Ahhhh peace and quiet. I have a couple of layouts I did using Barbara's Sunita kit. I love Barbara's kits, they are a little bit more original then most kits I have seen and used. I have been playing around with templates that are in psd formats because I can use my Adobe program (see earlier post if interested). So these layouts were done using Barbara's kit Sunita (by the way Barbara what does Sunita mean?) and templates. The first 2 are from kcscrappersnscnfill and the 3rd one is from pixel fairy. I tried to find their web sites but to no avail... I sure wish peeps would put their tous in their files. So if you are either one of the above mentioned peeps please let me know so that I may give proper credit. The pictures I used are just some I found on the web and copyright goes to the owners of the pictures and or art. You can find Barbara's blog here . thanks for lQQking . Happy scrappin hugs Nanascraps

Cuddles

Whew!! It has been forever since my last post. I have been making kits but I am getting so frustrated. I have Vista (Ewwwwww) and every time I am in the middle of something like making an alpha set the Gimp freezes up... Makes me so damn mad..not sure if it is vista (ewww) or the gimp. My problem is I love Adobe Deluxe Home addition which of course Adobe does not support any more. This is such an easy program to use yet it has the capablities for lots of filters and special effects..the only problem is that it does not read the png images very well, so I have resigned myself to use The Gimp. It is very slow going and I find it very hard to find decent tutorials for this program (up to date ones), so I go it alone. So instead of 3 kits today you get only one. Sorry :). So here is Cuddles inspired yet again by my lil lady. This is a full size kit. Special thanks goes to Deb AKA The Scrappin Cop. She does lots of wonderful commercial use stuff. So if you have have not checked out her blog you should. First up here are my munchkins. Layouts using the Cuddles kit.

So if you see this(chaos princess or anyone else who might know) please let me know your blog address so i may give proper credit etc... thanks . Well I really liked the different shades of grey I didn't know what to do with it until I found this picture of my Mom. Felix the Cat

Good Morning All, Well it is Monday and it looks like we are in for some cold weather for a few days. Ugh, I can't wait till spring gets here. Well here are a couple of layouts I did of Trevin. The bottom one was made with a kit called Toys for Boys by Kik-kin Kreations. The top one was made with a kit called Pretty Little Things by Pixie Pink Land. You can find her blog here http://pixiepinkland.blogspot.com/. Now to look at the colors this page was done in one would think the name of the kit doesn't fit, but there are some really pretty colors in this kit, so check it out.

Ok freebie time
I notice a few people surf the web and make kits from public domain pictures ect.. I love those kits, they save me from having to do it myself. I grew up with Felix the Cat and I could not find any kits so I made one to use. I am now offering it to you for you scrap booking pleasure. You can find the kit here.
This is a tagger size kit because the web graphics are usually small in size.... this is copy write material. the only thing I made was the frames from the pics I collected. This kit is for personal use only!!!!
Well enjoy and thanks for stopping by. happy scrappin Nana

Hello All,

This is Trevin. He is always looking or should I say peering through things. He sort of reminds me of Mr Wilson on Home Improvement lol. I used Kimberly Stewart and the 3 scrapateers kit called Little Sock Monkey. The little monkeys on Trevin's name and the monkey frame used for the bottom photo came from the web. While looking for images of sock monkeys I discovered that they have been around since 1932 and were first crafted by "homemakers"(much to the dislike of the company that manufactured the socks with the red heels). Interested in finding out more click here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sock_monkey
Well it has been absolutely beautiful these past few days. Temps in the low 70's .. yeah baby .. which means that it is the calm before the storm .. bummer . Well that's about all for now. I have to catch up on my soap operas. I am like a week behind....ugh....Niters..

Spring Time Kisses

The title for today's entry comes from the kit I used for these layouts. The pieces to this kit are being given away everyday. Credit for this kit goes to Kiwi and www.standstrong4God.com.
You can find the kit at http://www.digitalscrapcafe.blogspot.com/. I thought this kit is beautiful in a quiet sort of way. These of course are Trevin & Arianna and Momma too. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

The Look

Hello All

Arianna and I were outside yesterday. We were blowing bubbles. I was trying to get her to smile and got this look instead because I called her Trevin. It was s0 funny. The poor grand babies I call Trevin Darol sometimes (Darol is my son). I call Trevin Rochelle (my daughter and the grand babies momma). Lol I remind myself of my Granny. She would go through a whole list of names before she got the one she wanted.
This layout was made with a kit called Childish Times by Brittney Ferguson. You can find her here:

At the Park

Howdy All

Jeeze it's already the end of January. Where does the time go. Seems like the older I get the faster it goes. Well last August my external drive took a crap and I lost over 5000 pics of my grand babies among others. So I have been calling all my friends and familhy asking them to send me the pics I have sent them over the past 2 years. This one here is one of my favorites of Trevin. He has alot of facial expressions and I caught a few of them this day, we had a lot of fun too. He is a sweetheart (until his sister came along or the terrrible twos). I have been working on some pages but everyones been sick except for me so....you know how it goes. Well thats all for now. Laters

Cute Kit

Hello,
I thought this was really a cute little kit. You can find this kit at http://bluedreamdesigns.blogspot.com/. Her kits are awesome. This is Trevin for the month of January 2008. I love people's QP but they always seem to be for one picture. Well I take literally hundreds of pictures of my grand babies (helps that they live with me) so my layouts have lots of pictures on them. A milestone deserves it 's own page of course but to me every day I spend with them is a milestone. I am off to bed now. Niters

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

FYI

Please note that the designers of the kits I used hold the copyright and therefore are subject to the designers TOU's which I did not make available in the last 2 downloads. However they will be included from now on. I do apologize to Barbara and Delicious Scraps. Please bear with me . I am trying to get it right.

Out of the Mouths of Babe

First here is the link to Barbara's Jewel Tone QP.http://www.4shared.com/file/83037762/d49b111b/Jeweltone-000-Page-1.html. Please if you download please visit Barbara's blog. She has some awesome kits to share. You can find her here:

Next is my Grandson Trevin.

Nana cannot sing to save her life.
My music teacher years ago ask me to sing solo.
So low so that she couldn't hear me.
My Mom told me if I sang for a living I would starve to death.
I can't carry a tune in a bucket..lol get my drift..I love to sing and for many many years my singing has been the butt of all jokes (and still is). When I call my sistas, if I get the answering machine I sing to them.Lol they either pick up to stop me or they have to listen to it all. Which brings me to this photo of my grandson. This is Trevin. He is 28 months old. We were sitting in the living room watching Dora the Explorer(Trevin loves Boots)when they started to sing their ending song. I started to sing it too and Trevin looks at me and says "NANA (pause) don't sing".."STOP IT NANA."
I about fell off my chair I was laughing so hard.Out of the mouths of babes.Thought I would share that with you.

The page was made using Delicious Scraps' Luscious Fall Kit. You can visit her blog here http://www.deliciousscraps.com/ I love her freebies. You can download the QP here: http://www.4shared.com/file/83040716/b340a76c/QP1.html

My First Blog...ooohhh

Hi my name is Jo Ann. I am starting this blog to post freebies of quick pages for the digi-ites. I can not create kits like these wonderful designers do but I love making quick pages. So as my way of giving back I will post quick pages here(with the designers permission of course). All of them will be freebies of course. No comments are necessary. I only ask that if you download the quick page that you visit the designers web site. With that said here is my first layout using Barbara's Jewel Tone kit. This is Arianna, she is 7 months old. You will be meeting her brother very soon. Barbara has not seen the layout yet, as soon as she does and she gives me premission to post as a freebie I will. Thanks for LQQking. I love Barbara's kits. Her color schemes are a little off the wall (in a good way). You can find her blog here:
http://barbara-justpassingthrough.blogspot.com/.(don't know how to attach link yet so you have to copy and paste). So please bear with me. I am very new to this blogging stuff and I don't want to make people mad if I post layouts with their kits. I want to do this right. So any suggestions sure are welcomed. My email address is in my profile.
